Ans: M. Hamel said that the French language was the most beautiful language in the world. It was the clearest, the most logical; that they must guard it among them and never forget it.

Ans: Franz anticipated that a great bustle of the school would be heard from the street, the opening and closing of desks, lessons repeated in unison and the teacher's great ruler rapping on the table.

They were looking sad for the last lesson of the French language. All the lessons like reciting, grammar, writing, and history were taught on that day. Specially, M.
